A wonderful piece of regional gospel music history — "Morning of Glory", a Class and Convention Song Book published by Jeffress Music Company of Crossett, Arkansas. The white cover features elegant script lettering and a scripture verse from Psalm 59:16: "But I will sing of Thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning; for Thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble."
The back cover includes a personal letter from Jeffress Music Company mentioning their 38th anniversary in July 1984, dating this volume to approximately 1984. Interior copyright pages show songs copyrighted 1985 by Jeffress Music Co., Inc. Songs include "I'm A-Gonna Rise With The Saints" by W. Oliver Cooper and many more.
Jeffress Music Company also published a monthly journal, Jeffress Music News, and hosted the Annual Jeffress School of Gospel Music each July in Crossett, Arkansas — a beloved regional institution.
